Which is better: CHAdeMO or CCS Combo, and what’s the difference?

CHAdeMO vs. CCS Combo:

  • CCS Combo (Combined Charging System): The most common standard for new EVs in North America, supporting higher speeds and wider availability.
  • CHAdeMO: Older standard mainly used by some Japanese EVs; offers V2G capability but is being phased out.
  • Network access: CCS stations are more common and typically faster.

For most new EV buyers, CCS Combo is the preferred choice for future compatibility.
